The Maryland Beltway Lady Cougars (MDBLC) is a non-profit
organization organized in 1992 committed to providing competitive amatuer basketball experiences an academic and cultural
enrichment for girls between the ages of 6-18 in the Washington Metropolitan area.
Mission
To provide young girls with a challenging and supportive
educational and sports experience, which fosters competence and confidence for success, much to the benefit of the young girls,
their families and communities.
Vision
To nurture, train, and quip young girls in educational core competencies and applications
that will aid in their academic transition from the Elementary School and Middle School levels to the High School level and
on to college. Place the concept of scholar in proper perspective as it relates to the young female basketball athlete's
aspirations.
